Our client is an international pharmaceutical company working with a broad network of distribution and commercial partners across the EMEA region. To strengthen their international commercial organization, they are looking to hire a Business Development Manager Distribution (m/f/d), responsible for identifying growth opportunities, enhancing partner structures, and ensuring the successful commercialization of the company’s product portfolio in selected EMEA markets.
 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Analyze and further develop existing partner structures across EMEA
  • Identify new market opportunities and shape go‑to‑market strategies
  • Support market entries and product launches in collaboration with cross‑functional teams

Distribution & Partner Management

  • Oversee and develop selected distribution partners
  • Conduct regular business reviews including KPI and P&L performance
  • Negotiate prices, commercial terms, and collaboration agreements
  • Evaluate and select new distribution partners in priority markets

Operational Interface Management

  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Legal and Marketing
  • Resolve operational challenges along the distribution and supply chain
  • Ensure smooth product availability and efficient end‑to‑end processes

Project Management & Market Development

  • Contribute to international projects related to market expansion and portfolio development
  • Support market analysis, competitive assessments and partner performance reviews
  • Prioritize and manage multiple workstreams with strong execution focus


Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences or a related field
  • Professional experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, ideally in:
    • Business Development
    • International Sales
    • Distribution Management
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and quality considerations in pharma
  • Hands‑on mindset, strong initiative and high sense of ownership
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and deliver pragmatic solutions
  • Fluency in English and an additional regional languages (e.g., Russian or another Eastern European language)
  • Willingness to travel within EMEA (approx. 10–20%)
