System Test Engineer to Manager

Embedded Software System Test Manager to establish and lead our system test presence in Taipei. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, helping build the local team, lab capabilities, test strategy, and execution model needed to validate our software across the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Team Building & Leadership: Build, hire, and develop a high-performing System Test team in Taipei to support current and future product roadmaps.

• Strategy & Execution: Define and execute post-silicon system test strategies spanning functional, stress, endurance, negative, and system-level validation.

• Automation & CI: Drive test automation and Continuous Integration (CI) to improve test coverage, efficiency, and release confidence.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Firmware, Driver, Systems, and Product teams to ensure robust validation coverage and clear defect triage.

• Stakeholder Management: Represent System Test status and quality outcomes in internal executive reviews and external discussions with ODMs and key customers.

Required Qualifications

• Education & Experience: BS in EE, CS, or CE with 10+ years of relevant experience, OR MS in EE, CS, or CE with 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Leadership: 5+ years of direct people management experience.

• Validation Experience: Hands-on experience working on DVT and EVT devices.

• Embedded Knowledge: Deep understanding of embedded systems, including both general-purpose OS (Windows/Linux) and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

• Architecture & Scripting: Experience with various MCU and DSP cores/processors, along with proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Shell, C, C++, etc.).

• Test Automation & Process: Solid understanding of software testing methodology, test automation principles, defect management practices, and SDLC / Agile Scrum frameworks.

• Communication: Strong executive communication skills and proven ability in managing cross-functional and global/offshore stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record in building and scaling technical engineering teams from the ground up.

• Hands-on experience with Jira, SVN/Git, and CI systems (e.g., Jenkins).

• Practical experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) for measurement and hardware/software debugging.
