Taiwan Site Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• R&D Team & Site Leadership: Manage Taiwan R&D team and site operations, including recruitment, performance, skill development, and daily management.

• Product Development: Drive end-to-end development of video test equipment (DisplayPort, USB-C, HDMI protocol analyzers, and pattern generators).

• Architecture & Project Management: Collaborate on high-level SW, FW, FPGA, and HW architecture; prioritize product backlogs and track project deliverables.

• Vendor & Operations Oversight: Manage local manufacturing, repair operations, tech infrastructure (dev/test labs, tools), and R&D subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience: 15+ years in engineering focused on USB-C, DisplayPort, or HDMI, including 5+ years managing R&D teams of 10+ engineers.

• Project Leadership: Proven success leading multi-site, cross-disciplinary projects spanning EE, ME, SW, FW, and FPGA.

• Technical & Operational Expertise: Strong background in embedded system design, QA methodologies, and managing local operations/subcontractors.

• Education: BS in EE (or equivalent); MS or MBA preferred.

• Skills: Fluent English speaker with strong cross-cultural leadership, commercial acumen (tradeoff analysis), and structured planning abilities.

• Pluses: Experience with test equipment development or industry standards bodies.
