Key Responsibilities
1. Commissioning & Steady-State Mastery

Lead the strategic transition from project execution to operational reality, overseeing Operational Readiness including O&M organizational design, procedure development, and workforce staffing.

Proactively identify and mitigate start-up risks, ensuring safe first-gas and a seamless handover to high-reliability, steady-state operations.

Establish systems, metrics, and governance to sustain operational excellence post-start-up.
2. Executive Mentorship & Succession

Act as the undisputed senior mentor to the WLNG leadership team, providing executive air-cover and transferring decades of operational wisdom.

Prepare local and functional leaders to step into more senior roles over the coming years, ensuring leadership continuity beyond your tenure.
3. Operational Discipline & Safety

Drive an industry-leading process safety culture, where “boring and predictable” is the highest compliment.

Champion reliability and cost-consciousness without compromising safety, ensuring full compliance with North American regulatory frameworks.
4. Clear & Decisive Governance

Qualifications & Experience

25–30+ years of progressive energy experience, with a world-class track record specifically in LNG plant commissioning, start-up, and O&M.

Proven experience leading the operational readiness and first-gas milestone for an LNG facility.

Deep knowledge of North American regulatory, safety, and stakeholder landscapes.

Executive gravitas with the polish and credibility to command respect in the boardroom and the field.

Demonstrated ability to mentor senior leaders and serve as a succession enabler.
