MAKING SUCCESS STORIES HAPPEN

Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), is a global space manufacturer providing cutting-edge technological solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth observation, environmental management, exploration, science, and orbital infrastructure for over 40 years. Our diverse skills and cultures enable clients, including governments and space agencies, to connect, protect, observe, explore, and navigate.

In Spain, Thales is a leader in technology solutions for Defense, Aerospace, Security, Transportation, and Space. It serves as a global center of excellence, generating €320 million in revenue and employing 1,200 people, exporting about 40% of production mainly to the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America.

The selected candidate will work in a highly innovative environment and participate in international projects.

Mission

The Industrial Architect ensures the industrial readiness, manufacturability, and operational feasibility of satellite and electronic component production within highly complex aerospace programs. Acting as the interface between engineering, industrialization, and production teams, this role secures robust industrial scenarios, aligns resources with program needs, and drives the transition from design to manufacturing while minimizing industrial risk.

Responsabilities

  • Lead cross-functional industrial coordination to guarantee production feasibility, manufacturability, and adherence to delivery commitments across satellite and electronic equipment programs.
  • Support industrial offer preparation by defining industrial scenarios, resource requirements, production risks, and operational feasibility.
  • Act as the focal point for TRL/MRL monitoring, coordinating with internal teams and external subcontractors to track and drive industrial maturity progression.
  • Anticipate and mitigate industrial and production risks by optimizing resource allocation, production scenarios, and workflow continuity.
  • Coordinate engineering, planning, and manufacturing stakeholders to resolve industrial constraints impacting manufacturing flow or schedule performance.
  • Contribute to operational decision‑making, balancing industrial capacity, delivery constraints, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and work instructions.
  • Manage non-conformances and corrective actions to maintain production quality and continuity.
  • Identify and remove industrial bottlenecks affecting product flow, planning, and capacity utilization.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, supply chain, production, and planning teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best industrialization practices across programs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial architecture, industrialization, production engineering, operational performance, or similar roles within aerospace, space, or high‑tech manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of industrial readiness (TRL/MRL frameworks) and production flow optimization.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams in complex engineering programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial planning, and capacity management.
  • Ability to analyze industrial risks and define mitigation plans.
  • Experience with production planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6) is a plus.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Additional languages ( French, etc.) are a plus.

The profile to make the different must have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex industrial environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proactivity and ability to anticipate production issues before they impact operations.
  • Structured, organized, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and teams in an international environment.
  • Adaptability and resilience in managing evolving industrial requirements.
