Morgan Philips is seeking a MSL – Barcelona for a leading multinational pharmaceutical company.
Location: Barcelona (field-based)
Territory: Northeast Spain
Therapeutica Area: Nephrology and Transplantation
The purpose of this role is to provide field-based medical and scientific expertise, fostering scientific exchange and supporting informed healthcare decision-making within the assigned territory.
The MSL will:
- Serve as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals and key stakeholders across relevant disease areas.
- Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with leading experts, healthcare institutions, and other scientific stakeholders.
- Contribute to medical strategy through high-quality scientific exchange, medical education, and insight gathering.
- Identify, collect, and communicate actionable medical insights to support evidence generation and strategic planning.
- Support research initiatives, real-world evidence projects, registries, and investigator-sponsored research activities.
- Contribute to launch readiness activities through scientific stakeholder mapping, identification of unmet needs, and analysis of the healthcare environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support the implementation of affiliate and regional medical objectives.
- Maintain a minimum of 60% field-based activity.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a life science, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, or other relevant scientific discipline.
- Advanced scientific or medical degree preferred (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with hospital-based and specialist therapies.
- Experience supporting scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
- Experience in launch readiness and/or pre-launch activities is desirable.
- Desirable therapeutic area expertise in Nephrology and/or Transplantation.
- Native Spanish speaker.
- Good command of English.
