Principal Hardware AE (Server / High Speed)

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Technical Leadership: Lead end-to-end customer technical engagements, managing the entire lifecycle from pre-sales technical scoping to post-silicon engineering support.

• System Bring-Up & Diagnostics: Drive high-speed system bring-up, verification, and root-cause debugging at both the board and full-system level.

• Design-In & Hardware Support: Partner closely with customer hardware teams to support design-in activities, including comprehensive schematic and layout reviews.

• Enablement & Documentation: Author and deliver high-quality technical documentation, application notes, engineering training, and provide critical on-site customer support.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Technical Domain

• Core Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in hardware design, system engineering, or field application engineering (FAE).

• Product Lifecycle: Solid track record of guiding complex systems through the full product lifecycle, from early prototyping (EVT, DVT, PVT) to high-volume mass production.

• System Architecture: Strong engineering background in high-performance server platforms or Ethernet switch systems.

• High-Speed Interfaces: Deep, solid knowledge of high-speed signaling interfaces, including PCIe, Ethernet, and SerDes.

• Hardware Fundamentals: Strong familiarity with PCB design principles, Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and modern system architectures.

• Lab Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with advanced laboratory test equipment, including high-bandwidth oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.

Engagement & Communication

• Customer Facing: Proven experience interfacing directly with sophisticated engineering clients, with the ability to manage technical relationships under high-stakes conditions.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for translating complex technical issues into clear actionable steps.
