Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic APAC Regulatory Affairs Director to lead regulatory initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the launch of new products in the market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in regulatory affairs within the consumer products or food industries.
Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Strategy Development:
Develop and implement regulatory strategies that align with regional business objectives and facilitate the timely approval of products. -
Compliance Oversight:
Ensure all products comply with local and regional regulations, standards, and guidelines related to safety, labeling, and claims. -
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of regulatory affairs professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. -
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with various internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and legal, to support product development and marketing strategies. -
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and industry associations to facilitate communication and advocacy. -
Risk Management:
Identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring proactive management of potential compliance issues. -
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance on regulatory requirements and best practices to internal stakeholders and teams.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. -
Experience:
10+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, with a proven track record of managing regulatory submissions and approvals for consumer products or food categories. -
Regulatory Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of APAC regulatory frameworks and requirements, including relevant safety and compliance standards. -
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey complex regulatory information to diverse stakeholders. -
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing teams and driving regulatory initiatives across multiple markets.
