HW Test Technician for RF and Electronics Boards - Clean Room

Thales Alenia Space is looking to hire a candidate that will work in a highly innovative environment and will participate in international telecom satellite projects as Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification technician (IVVQ). This position will report to the site Electronics Manager.
 
 Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
HW Test Technician for RF and Electronics boards will:
 

• Understand Element Under Test (EUT) definition documentation (electrical schematics, wiring drawings, assembly drawings)
• Review Test procedures at EUT level, providing valuable input for improvement if applicable
• Validate the Element Under Test (EUT), first through inspection and afterwards through electrical testing using the appropriate test equipment or test bench and the coded test sequences. Validation will be done in cleanroom
• Work closely with HW design engineers to understand the intricacies of the Element Under Test (EUT) and Test Bench, and provide valuable input for improvement
• Generate Test validation reports
• Perform small repairs of electronics boards and small harness manufacturing
• The activities shall be done in-situ in TAS-E facilities (Tres Cantos, Spain)

• Internal laboratory tools & instruments like Multimeters, Power Supplies, Power Meters, Counters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Data Patterns Generators, Network Analyzers
• Soldering station
• Office suite

 
Education

• Certificate Higher Education (FP Grado Superior) in Electronics, Industrial Electronic Systems or a related field.

 
Experience/Skills

• Proven experience in HW electronics testing (minimum 2-3 years), ideally in the space industry.
• Experience/Knowledge in test strategy for testing HW of RF/Electronic systems
• Experience/Knowledge of RF/Electronics HW design
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills
• Proactivity and commitment towards the assigned tasks to ensure completion in time, cost and performance
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Motivated to learn new technologies, and space-business processes and tools.
• Valued Experience/ Knowledge in Agile methodology

 
 
Other Valued skills:

• Knowledge of space programs rules and standards (i.e. ECSS)
• Programming languages such as Python or C
• Good skills for working in multidisciplinary: team work, improvement spirit, pragmatic, results oriented, dynamic, responsible

 
Languages:

• English: Intermediate level.
