MISSION
In the pre-sales phases, you will:
● Analyze the customer requirements and ensure good communication between the customer and company's presale team to ensure that both sides requirements are fulfilled.
● In collaboration with the presales team, define technical solutions to answer the customer requests.
● Prepare demonstration set-ups and proof-of-concepts to ensure that the demonstrations are made with the highest quality while being representative of the final solution.
In the project phases, you will:
● Discuss and challenge the acoustic architecture with the client.
● Define the speaker specifications and handle qualification of the electro-acoustic components (measurements).
● Tuning:
○ Be able to use a tuning Pipeline and dedicated tuning tool
○ Do the objective tuning and the subjective tuning of the products, in the tuning office in Shenzhen and at the customer tuning site Present the final tuning to the car OEM audio expert and quality team
○ Support the CARaudio team and follow-up other tuning activities
● Be responsible for the overall audio quality of the solution throughout a project: as such, you will:
○ follow-up the development of the audio system and its components (loudspeakers, amplifiers, grids…)
○ follow-up of the mechanical integration of the loudspeakers in the car (in relation with the mechanical engineer)
○ help to maintain a fruitful relationship with the customers, and be reactive to their requests by supporting the project manager on the technical side.
● In the product industrialization stage, you help the customers applying Company‘s standards to test and validate the audio system.
You will work autonomously in a reactive cross functional team. In this context, you will:
● help to identify possible improvements of the solution and contribute to them
● contribute to develop the methods and tools used by the team to increase productivity and quality of the solution
● support the other team members
● ensure a regular reporting
PROFILE
Engineer in audio signal processing or acoustics (5 years of experience minimum). Experience in the automotive audio application.
Key technical skills:
● System design, audio signal processing, acoustics
● Acoustic measurements: Audio Precision, Klippel, REW
● Signal processing tools: Matlab, MaxMSP
● Listening skills and subjective tuning of audio products, experience in automotive audio and tuning
● Good know-how and experience in audio product acoustics measurements, validation tests, and manufacturing
● General audio development and basis of system engineering
● Knowledge in electrodynamics transducers, electronic and amplifiers
Key soft skills:
● Ability to travel (frequently to the client office near to Shenzhen and 3 to 4 times by year, up to 3 weeks continuously when needed if the client is outside China) and communicate internationally:
● fluent English, Oral and Written is Mandatory
● Passionate by audio products, willingness to learn
● Reactive & flexible
● Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
● Autonomy
