In-house Fund Accountant (min. 5yrs) - Real Estate & Private Debt

Our client is an international investment firm with a well-established presence in Luxembourg, currently looking to strengthen its Finance team by hiring a Fund Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly international environment where you will take ownership of a portfolio of complex investment structures throughout their full lifecycle while working closely with investment, legal and tax professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accounting and financial control of a portfolio of alternative investment structures and related SPVs.
• Review NAV calculations, fund performance, expense allocations and financial reporting.
• Coordinate and challenge the work performed by external fund administrators and other service providers.
• Ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Participate in year-end audits and support the determination of appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions.
• Review financing documentation, board documentation and corporate actions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
• Work closely with Investment, Legal, Tax and Operations teams on day-to-day transactions.
• Contribute to process improvements and financial control initiatives within a dynamic international platform.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Around 5 to 8 years of relevant experience within alternative investments.
• Previous experience in a Big Four and/or a leading Luxembourg service provider would be highly appreciated.
• Fully ACCA qualified is a strong plus.
• Strong experience with Luxembourg SPV accounting.
• Good understanding of alternative investment structures.
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
• Fluent English is required.
