Senior Accountant F/M - Insurance

Our client is a well-established insurance company in Luxembourg. As part of the expansion of its Finance department, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant F/M with a strong background in the Luxembourg insurance industry.

Permanent Position or Freelance Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the general accounting activities for one or several insurance entities.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings.
• Prepare annual financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reporting required by the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA).
• Support Solvency II reporting and other prudential reporting requirements.
• Perform account reconciliations and monitor technical provisions.
• Work closely with the Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Audit and external audit teams.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 6 years of accounting experience, ideally gained within an insurance company, a reinsurer or a firm specialized in the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of the Luxembourg insurance regulatory framework, including CAA requirements and Solvency II.
• Solid experience in financial closings and statutory reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is considered an asset.
• Professional proficiency in both French and English.
