Senior Fund Accountant F/M - Asset Manager

On behalf of a well-established Asset Manager based in Luxembourg, I am currently looking for an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join a lean and hands-on finance team.
The position is particularly suited to someone with strong technical fund accounting expertise who enjoys working in an in-house environment, taking ownership of the accounting process rather than operating solely in a review capacity.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform fund accounting closes and NAV calculations for regulated and unregulated alternative investment structures
• Prepare annual accounts and coordinate directly with external auditors throughout the audit process
• Prepare and process capital calls and distributions
• Produce investor reporting, capital account statements, management reports and other fund-related reporting
• Work closely with and report directly to the Head of Finance
• Manage accounting-related queries from internal stakeholders and management
• Contribute actively to process optimisation and the development of internal systems and procedures
• Support external tax advisers with Luxembourg and international tax filings
• Participate in broader fund administration and operational matters as required
• Review work prepared by colleagues while remaining fully hands-on in the preparation of accounting deliverables

 
Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in alternative investment fund accounting, ideally within Private Equity, Fund of Funds or another alternative asset class
• Strong hands-on experience preparing fund accounting and NAVs, rather than purely reviewing work performed by external administrators
• Good understanding of alternative investment structures, transactions and underlying fund economics
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP
• Comfortable working autonomously in a lean and entrepreneurial environment
• Able to interact directly with investors, auditors, tax advisers and internal stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines independently
• Commercial mindset and willingness to contribute beyond pure accounting responsibilities
• Fluent English required
