The General Manager, Digital Delivery is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of enterprise-wide digital initiatives. This role ensures that digital strategies, platforms, and transformation programmes are delivered with strong governance, execution discipline, and measurable business impact.
You will act as the key custodian of delivery performance, ensuring that all digital investments translate into tangible value, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes for the organisation.
Digital Programme & Delivery Leadership
Lead the delivery of enterprise-wide digital initiatives, platforms, and systems across multiple business units.
Translate digital strategies and roadmaps into clear, actionable delivery plans with defined milestones, dependencies, and outcomes.
Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to high quality standards.
Oversee cross-functional delivery teams, including internal resources, vendors, system integrators, and partners.
Delivery Governance & Execution Excellence
Establish and enforce strong delivery governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Implement appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall) to ensure consistency and discipline.
Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary to senior leadership.
Ensure robust documentation, change control, and delivery assurance throughout the lifecycle of programmes.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Alignment
Serve as the primary delivery accountability partner for internal stakeholders including business units, finance, strategy, risk, and human capital.
Align senior stakeholders on priorities, scope, and delivery expectations.
Provide clear and structured reporting on delivery progress, risks, and outcomes to management and governance forums where required.
Value Realisation & Performance Management
Ensure digital initiatives deliver measurable business value, including cost efficiency, productivity gains, revenue enablement, risk reduction, and improved customer experience.
Define and track KPIs, milestones, and value realisation metrics across all programmes.
Monitor post-implementation outcomes to ensure sustained benefits.
Drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned into future delivery cycles.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
Lead and develop the Digital Delivery function, including project managers, product teams, engineers, and delivery resources.
Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, execution excellence, and collaboration.
Identify capability gaps and work with HR to strengthen talent and delivery capabilities.
Support succession planning and long-term capability building.
Vendor, Partner & Financial Management
Manage external vendors, system integrators, and technology partners to ensure delivery performance and contractual compliance.
Oversee commercial terms, vendor deliverables, and performance management.
Work closely with finance to monitor budgets, cost controls, and financial performance of digital programmes.
Support procurement and negotiation of key digital delivery contracts.
Strategic Transformation Support
Support senior digital leadership in shaping delivery strategy aligned with enterprise transformation goals.
Provide execution insights to guide prioritisation, sequencing, and investment decisions.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, risk, and governance standards.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Digital Transformation, or Management is an advantage.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum are preferred.
Experience
15+ years of experience in digital delivery, technology leadership, or digital transformation.
Proven track record in delivering large-scale, complex digital programmes.
Strong experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, budgets, and programme governance.
Proven ability to engage and influence senior leadership and governance stakeholders.
