As part of its continued growth and delivery of large-scale banking transformation projects, Silverlake Axis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex technology implementations and ensure successful project execution for its banking clients.
Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of large-scale banking technology projects, working closely with banking clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
This role requires a highly experienced project leader who can independently manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation through delivery, with strong capabilities in stakeholder management, risk management, governance, and execution.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management activities, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and issues to ensure successful delivery.
• Act as the key point of contact between clients, business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
• Establish project governance frameworks, reporting structures, and communication plans.
• Drive project milestones and ensure delivery meets agreed timelines, quality standards, and business objectives.
• Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage cross-functional teams across business, technology, and external stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates and executive reporting to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8+ years of project management experience within the banking, financial services, or technology industry.
• Proven experience managing large-scale technology projects, preferably involving core banking systems or banking platforms.
• Strong understanding of full project lifecycle management (A-Z) with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is required.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior business and technology leaders.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Profile

• Malaysian citizen.
• Experience working with banks, financial institutions, or banking technology providers is highly preferred.
• Exposure to core banking transformation, digital banking, payments, or financial systems implementation is an advantage.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred.
• Ideally candidates under 50years old
