Associate – AML/KYC

About the role
As an Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of corporate governance and operational efficiency, primarily by owning and driving the end-to-end inbound AML/KYC framework. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert, translating regulatory requirements into pragmatic and scalable operational solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 
About You
We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should have a proactive mindset, high personal drive, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering excellence.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Own and drive the end-to-end inbound AML/KYC framework, covering counterparties, banks and service providers.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on AML/KYC regulations applicable to alternative investment structures.
  • Lead continuous transformation of AML/KYC processes with a clear focus on simplification, standardisation, and automation.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and robustness of AML/KYC across jurisdictions and structures.
  • Support broader governance activities, including legal entity set up and maintenance, banking administration, and fund liquidations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments to enable effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively drive change initiatives and scalable solutions that create long-term impact, improving both operational efficiency and digitalisation readiness.
  • Support the Head of Governance locally by addressing issues, proposing solutions, and acting as a role model within the team.
  • Occasionally travel to various locations to attend meetings as required.
 
Desired Skills and Experience
Must-Have:
  • University degree (or equivalent) in law, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' relevant work experience within the described field.
  • Proven track record in change management and process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Prior exposure to private equity or another financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg law related to Alternative funds.
  • Experience in process automation and digitalisation readiness initiatives.
