APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

About the Role:
As an Applications Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between customers and products, focusing on adapting standard solutions to meet unique application requirements. The goal is to deliver designs that are both technically sound and optimized for production. You will collaborate closely with customers, Product Managers, and engineers to transform concepts into production-ready solutions in a dynamic, problem-solving environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Work directly with customers to understand their needs and recommend the most suitable cable product solutions.
• Translate customer opportunities into well-matched product applications.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of a broad range of products and components.
• Provide technical support and answer in-depth technical inquiries.
• Review and approve product drawings to ensure compliance with design and production requirements.
• Prepare product cost sheets to support accurate quotation processes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to identify market trends and contribute to product development and roadmap planning.
• Occasionally travel for customer meetings or trade shows.

Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, or a customer-facing engineering role; product customization experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail in reviewing customer requirements and technical drawings.
• Proven experience managing projects from concept through production release.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
• Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering; experience with connectors or interconnect systems is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
