Mission

Lead the global IT Procurement strategy across software, cloud, hardware, telecoms and IT services—driving value creation, digital transformation, supplier excellence and risk mitigation in a fast‑evolving technological ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

📌 Category Strategy & Sourcing

• Define and execute a multi‑year global IT category strategy spanning SaaS, cloud, on‑premise, infrastructure, hardware and IT services.
• Lead RFx processes, competitive negotiations and contract design backed by market intelligence, spend insights and TCO modelling.
• Oversee an annual IT spend of approximately €40M, delivering tangible savings, cost avoidance and innovation‑driven value.

🤝 Supplier & Risk Management

• Build and manage strategic partnerships with global tech leaders: system integrators, cloud providers, enterprise software vendors and specialised life‑sciences platforms.
• Deploy SRM frameworks (KPIs, QBRs, performance reviews) and drive continuous improvement.
• Proactively assess and mitigate supplier risks—including cybersecurity, GDPR compliance, financial exposure and geopolitical factors.

🧩 Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as key Procurement partner for CIO, R&D and Operations leadership teams.
• Align sourcing strategies with technology roadmaps and the needs of scientific, digital and manufacturing environments.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, InfoSec and Data Privacy to ensure compliant, robust and value‑driven contracts.
• Shape business requirements early to secure best‑value outcomes.

🤖 Digital, AI & Process Excellence

• Promote adoption of digital tools, analytics and AI-powered Procurement solutions (contract intelligence, spend transparency, forecasting).
• Support Source‑to‑Pay optimisation and contribute to the broader procurement transformation—automation, digital workflows and responsible AI.

🌱 Sustainable Sourcing

• Embed sustainability in IT procurement decisions: circular economy principles, supplier diversity and alignment with ESG commitments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Procurement, with direct category ownership; pharma or multinational experience is a strong plus.
• Proven track record delivering savings, performance improvement and value.
• Strong exposure to key IT supplier ecosystems: global system integrators, enterprise software, cloud hyperscalers and life‑sciences technology platforms.
• Proficiency with S2P tools, CLM platforms, procurement analytics and emerging AI solutions.
• Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems or similar; Master’s/CIPS/CPSM preferred.
• Full professional English; Spanish or German beneficial.
