We are looking for a Material Data Specialist_Temporary to join a leading global FMCG company in Madrid. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of material master data across systems, supporting production, supply chain, and procurement teams in a fast‑paced, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update material master data across ERP systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with global standards.
- Coordinate the creation, modification, and archiving of material codes, ensuring alignment with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain requirements.
- Monitor data quality KPIs and perform regular audits to identify discrepancies, gaps, or inconsistencies in material information.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, Finance, Quality) to ensure timely and correct data management throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support new product introductions by setting up material data, BOM information, packaging specs, and production attributes.
- Work with IT and global data governance teams to improve data management processes and support system enhancements.
- Analyze material‑related issues impacting production, planning, or procurement, and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Develop documentation, SOPs, and training materials related to material data processes and standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and global data governance frameworks.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Overall, 3–5 years of experience in Material Master Data, Supply Chain Operations, Data Governance, or related roles, ideally in FMCG or a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and material master data structures (materials, units, BOM, routings, attributes).
- Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets.
- Familiarity with data quality metrics, process controls, and documentation standards.
- Fluent in English; highly organized, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and global teams.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
