At Morgan Philips, we are looking for a Medical Director for a leading company in the pharmaceutical in Spain.
Location: Barcelona or Madrid.
Role Purpose
Lead and execute the local medical and patient strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives while addressing country-specific needs. Act as the medical authority and strategic partner across the organization.

Core Responsibilities
- Define and implement the local medical and patient-centric strategy, aligned with global direction
- Ensure effective execution of the medical plan and drive innovative approaches to address local healthcare challenges
- Act as the medical expert and reference, ensuring scientific accuracy and relevance across all activities
- Oversee clinical studies, data generation, and omnichannel medical communication
- Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards at all times
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, authorities, and patient associations
- Provide medical insight and training to internal stakeholders, including marketing and field teams
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop local medical and patient-centric teams (including MSLs and clinical liaisons where applicable)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with General Management, Marketing, Market Access, and Corporate Medical teams
- Manage medical budgets, performance tracking, and reporting
- Share local insights to inform regional and global strategy
Profile Requirements
- Advanced scientific background (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent)
- At least 8 years’ experience in Medical Affairs
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks, market access, and digital/omnichannel medical activities
- High standards of ethics and integrity
- Fluent in Spanish and English
