Tax Controller in-house - Alternative Funds (F/M)

Our client is a leading international alternative investment platform with a strong global presence and a diversified investment strategy.
As part of the continued growth of its European operations, we are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Professional or Tax Manager to join its Luxembourg office.
 
The Role
This position offers exposure to a broad range of Luxembourg, European and international tax matters within a sophisticated investment environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing Luxembourg and European CIT, VAT and WHT returns.
• Reviewing tax provisions and supporting tax-related aspects of financial statement preparation.
• Working closely with accounting teams on tax reporting, financial statement reviews and TP matters.
• Supporting the analysis of cross-border investment and financing structures.
• Assisting with TP reviews and documentation for existing and new investments.
• Contributing to international tax projects, including matters related to ATAD, DAC6/MDR and broader European tax developments.
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders, external advisors and international tax teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitoring and assessing changes in European tax legislation and their impact on the business.
• Supporting structuring initiatives and ongoing tax compliance requirements across investment vehicles.

 
Your Profile

• Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Luxembourg taxation gained within a Big4 firm, a consulting environment, alternative investments or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg corporate tax matters.
• Luxembourg tax qualification is a plus.
• Exposure to international tax and cross-border transactions is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing principles is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English.
