Engineering Director

My client, a german company with manufacturing site is looking for an engineering director with experience in painting lines (automotive).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team management, development of mechanical solutions, and coordination of complex projects. Plans and administers the activities of the mechanical and electrical engineering department to support the company’s overall business strategy

Further responsibilites:
Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Workload Planning and Organizational Structure: Plan and allocate engineering workload; define the (general) organizational chart and project organizational charts based on team leader suggestions to optimize resources and project outcomes.
Engineering Strategy Planning and Execution: Define, develop, and execute strategies aimed at improving processes, innovation, and efficiency within the engineering department, aligning technical objectives with the company's vision and goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field; a postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership roles within mechanical engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of CAD tools, solid works mechanical simulations, and project management.
• Microsoft office 365
• Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering and Design
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Fluency in English (write and speaker) and Spanish is desirable.
• Traveling 30%

Good knowledge of english and spanish is a must, german is considered a plus.
