At Morgan Philips we are partnering with our client Thales Alenia Space, a global leader in the space sector, to recruit an Industrial Architect to join the Methods & Industrialization Department (team of 10 people) based in Tres Cantos, Madrid.


Role Mission

Within the development of new products, your main mission will be to lead and secure the industrialization phase, working closely with engineering and design teams, and to guarantee the successful launch into production of equipment together with methods and manufacturing teams.


Key Responsibilities

1. Industrialization

  • Identify industrialization levers and drivers.
  • Build and manage the industrial schedule in line with the overall project plan.
  • Work closely with design teams to ensure that new product definitions are consistent with manufacturing, assembly and testing capabilities (DfX).
  • Define documentation, tools and production processes, ensuring the development of technical production data.
  • Participate in industrial validation during development and qualification phases.
  • Ensure the definition, implementation, preparation and optimization of manufacturing processes in collaboration with methods engineers and technologists.
  • Lead and/or participate in industrialization reviews.
  • Monitor target equipment costs throughout the industrialization phase and define action plans to achieve cost objectives.
  • Guarantee industrial maturity at entry into production.
  • Analyze and optimize products, components, assemblies, processes, operations, tools, production flows (Lean Manufacturing) and workshop organization.
  • Develop standard operating ranges in collaboration with multiple departments to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct post-production feedback (REX) to capitalize on best practices (gaps between theoretical and actual operation times, Lead Time, recurring non‑conformities, etc.).

2. Technical, Organizational and Methodological Support

  • Participate in the development of industrialization standards for the team.
  • Create and disseminate standards across Thales Alenia Space in Spain and internationally (Italy, France, UK, Belgium).

Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Production or equivalent), with knowledge of Electronics, Materials and/or Processes.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in methods, production support or industrialization.
  • Experience in the aerospace or aeronautical sector, or in industrialization of products/systems in small or multi‑unit series, is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
  • Diplomacy, rigor, autonomy and results orientation.
  • Fluent English is essential; French is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and comply with cost and planning constraints.
  • Team‑oriented mindset, continuous improvement spirit, pragmatic and accountable.
  • Strong motivation to learn new technologies and space‑industry processes and tools.
  • Availability to travel occasionally (0–5 trips per year).
