Freelance Credit Risk Analyst F/M

Our client, a regulated financial institution, is seeking a freelance Credit Risk Analyst to reinforce its second line of defense. The consultant will support credit risk oversight, challenge first-line assessments, and ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Independent monitoring of credit risk exposures vs. limits and policies.
• Challenge credit proposals, ratings, portfolio reviews, and receivable purchase files.
• Track key credit indicators and early warning signals.
• Review and improve credit risk policies and control frameworks.
• Validate and monitor credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD).
• Collaborate with first-line teams and support risk input for new products/projects.

Profile

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in credit risk, credit analysis, or risk control within financial services.
• Solid understanding of Basel/CRR frameworks and credit risk models.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Certifications (CFA, FRM, PRM) are a plus.
