Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Director for the Cocoa segment to lead our business initiatives across Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand. This role is crucial for driving growth, developing market strategies, and managing key customer relationships in the highly competitive cocoa industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management and a deep understanding of the cocoa supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership:
  Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration in the cocoa sector across SEA and ANZ.

• Market Analysis:
  Conduct thorough market assessments to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, informing strategic decision-making and positioning.

• Customer Management:
  Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty through tailored solutions and excellent service.

• Financial Oversight:
  Manage the commercial budget and P&L, ensuring financial targets are met while optimizing costs and profitability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial strategies.

• Team Leadership:
  Lead and mentor a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Regulatory Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards in all commercial activities.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience:
  10+ years of experience in commercial management or business development, specifically within the food or agricultural industry, with a focus on cocoa.

• Market Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of the cocoa supply chain, market trends, and customer dynamics within the SEA and ANZ regions.

• Communication Skills:
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Leadership Skills:
  Proven ability to lead and develop teams, driving performance and fostering a high-energy work environment.
