Mission

Oversee and manage real-time airport operations at designated stations, ensuring resource optimization and adherence to regulatory standards and company policies, with the aim of delivering seamless operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational efficiency and punctuality.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Ensure constant and effective communication with key stakeholders.

  • Make immediate operational decisions in line with company and regulatory standards.

  • Allocate and optimize resources dynamically during real-time operations

  • Supervise ancillary service management and ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Anticipate and prepare for operational disruptions.

  • Monitor and report incidents or deviations from standards.

  • Support, mentor, and lead handling teams during operations.

  • Manage night and off-peak operations.

  • Enforce discipline and procedural compliance among handling teams

  • Oversee safety and security compliance during operations.

  • Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job

 

Academic background

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Aviation Management, or a related field. This academic background accelerates the understanding of airport operations, customer service strategies, and resource management. Candidates without a degree but with extensive hands-on experience in airport operations or handling may also be considered.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in airport operations, handling, or passenger services. Experience in high-traffic international airports is essential to provide exposure to complex operational challenges.

  • Aviation Regulations, with deep understanding of AESA, IATA, and specific operational standards (e.g., Operations Manual).

  • Customer Service Standards, with knowledge of processes related to ancillary services, complaint management, and service recovery.

  • Deep understanding of AESA, IATA, and specific operational standards (e.g., Operations Manual).

  • Resource Management, with familiarity with staff allocation strategies and productivity metrics, such as hours-per-aircraft turnaround.

Skills

  • Experience in making critical decisions during operational disruptions, such as cancellations, emergency landings, or severe weather conditions.

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and address disruptions by preparing contingency plans, reallocating resources, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety and security requirements, including managing incidents involving passengers, equipment, or aircraft.

  • Proficiency in airport operations management systems, incident reporting tools, and real-time communication platforms.

  • Familiarity with budget management or cost-efficiency initiatives to understand the financial implications of operational decisions.

  • English level C1, French level C1 required

  • Spanish B2 desirable
