Job Title: Sales Officer
Location: Hong Kong
Overview
We are recruiting a proactive and customer‑focused Sales Officer to join a well‑established consumer goods business in Hong Kong. This role supports sales growth through account management, retail execution and trade marketing activities. The ideal candidate is results‑driven, organised and comfortable working across internal teams and external customers to deliver excellent in‑store presence and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned retailers, distributors and key accounts; act as the primary point of contact for orders, promotions and routine sales queries.
- Sales Execution: Achieve sales targets through effective territory planning, regular account visits and follow‑up; execute pricing, promotions and merchandising plans at store level.
- Retail Merchandising & Visuals: Ensure product displays, planograms and in‑store materials are implemented correctly and consistently; perform store audits and report gaps or opportunities.
- Order & Inventory Management: Process customer orders, monitor stock levels, coordinate replenishment and escalate potential out‑of‑stocks to supply chain or distribution partners.
- Trade Promotions: Support the planning and rollout of trade promotions, in‑store activations and sampling events; liaise with marketing for materials and approvals.
- Market & Competitor Intelligence: Gather market feedback, competitor activity and customer insights during field visits; provide actionable recommendations to sales and marketing teams.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate sales records, CRM updates, weekly/monthly sales reports and expense claims; prepare sales forecasts and pipeline updates.
- Customer Service: Resolve routine customer issues promptly and escalate more complex matters to senior sales or account management as needed to maintain high service levels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with regional sales teams, marketing, supply chain and finance to ensure orders, promotions and launches are executed smoothly.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process or commercial opportunities to enhance sales efficiency and customer satisfaction; participate in training and development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or related discipline preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years’ experience in retail sales, FMCG, consumer goods or distributor management in Hong Kong. Experience with account visits and merchandising is highly desirable.
- Language: Fluent in English and Cantonese (written and spoken). Mandarin is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, customer service orientation, attention to detail and good organisational abilities. Comfortable using MS Office and CRM/sales reporting tools.
- Mobility: Valid Hong Kong work authorization and willingness to travel within the territory for regular store/partner visits.
- Personal Attributes: Self‑motivated, target‑driven, resilient and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
