Our client is a reputable non-life insurance provider in Belgium, recognized for its customer focus and commitment to regulatory integrity. The company is enhancing its compliance function to support growth and adapt to changing regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory developments and evaluate their impacts on the company.
- Implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare regulatory reports and submissions for insurers and supervisory authorities.
- Identify regulatory changes and emerging compliance risks through Horizon Scanning.
- Execute the compliance monitoring plan, ensuring timely reviews and clear reporting to the Compliance Manager.
- Review due diligence information for clients, suppliers, and third-party partners.
- Contribute to internal compliance training and awareness initiatives.
- Assist the Compliance Manager in drafting reports for the Board and Committees.
- Participate in internal sanctions screening processes and analyze escalated alerts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Additional qualifications in insurance, financial services, or compliance are a plus.
- 4–8 years of experience in compliance advisory or technical roles, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of retail insurance products (non-life).
- In-depth knowledge of IDD, NBB, and FSMA regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Strong organizational skills to meet standards and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and French or Dutch; additional European languages are a bonus.
