Position Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Technical Director / Engineering Manager to lead our aerospace engineering initiatives. This pivotal role involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of advanced aerospace and space flight development programs, managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and orchestrating complex project execution from concept through flight operations.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Core Technical Experience
-
Extensive, hands-on experience spanning the entire spectrum of space flight programs, including system design, hardware development, assembly, integration, testing (AIT), and real-time flight operations.

A minimum of 5 years of direct Engineering Management experience successfully steering at least two active space flight development or advanced aerospace-related programs.

(Optional / Preferred) An additional 7+ years of deep technical expertise in space flight program design, development, assembly, integration, testing, and mission operations.
Leadership & Team Management

Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and scaling engineering teams, including a proven track record of managing teams in excess of 10 personnel across all levels of engineering discipline and experience.

Proven ability to effectively manage and nurture smaller, specialized engineering squads, fostering high performance and clear accountability.

Strong capability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously, successfully identifying critical paths and executing strategic plans across varied program schedules.
Programmatic & Interpersonal Skills

Demonstrable experience in conflict resolution, with the proven ability to navigate and resolve complex technical, programmatic, and personnel challenges.

A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, utilizing overt "lessons learned" from past missions to optimize current workflows, mitigate project risks, and elevate engineering quality.
