Role Overview
As an Associate in Investment Services, direct contributions are made to live transactions and fund operations across EQT's Private Capital strategies. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across geographies, with a meaningful degree of autonomy. It requires both strong analytical capabilities and clear communication, as well as sound judgment in determining when to act independently and when escalation is appropriate.
The position is based in Warsaw.
Responsibilities:
- Support deal structuring, due diligence coordination, and transaction execution from investment committee approval through to closing, ensuring alignment with fund structures and underlying fund agreements
- Present investment opportunities, interim updates, and contemplated transactions to boards, committees, and relevant stakeholders
- Lead capital calls, distributions, expense monitoring, and liquidity management in close collaboration with internal specialist teams
- Coordinate operational processes across investment, finance, legal, tax, and compliance functions, ensuring efficient communication and clear accountability
- Produce accurate, timely performance monitoring outputs and reporting that meet the scrutiny of investment teams and limited partners
- Identify operational inefficiencies and apply data analysis and AI tools pragmatically to address them
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with data — manipulating, validating, and drawing meaningful conclusions from complex datasets, with strong comfort across numerical and financial analysis
- Demonstrated, practical use of modern AI tools in day-to-day work, with the ability to articulate concretely how these improve speed and quality of output
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt your style across investment professionals, external counterparties, and operational stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure, maintaining accuracy and sound judgement when priorities shift
- An ownership mindset — you follow through end-to-end, ask the right questions, and close the loop without waiting to be chased
- A relevant academic background in any discipline with clear evidence of technical or quantitative work, such as data analysis, financial modelling, or systems-based projects (e.g. engineering, finance, business, audit, law, or tax)
- Full professional fluency in English, written and spoken
Nice to have:
- Prior exposure to private markets, fund management, transaction services, audit, or investment banking through internships or early career experience
- Familiarity with private equity fund structures, limited partnership agreements, or the regulatory environment in which private markets firms operate
- A working understanding of how a private equity or infrastructure fund manages its capital activity and investor reporting
- Experience using financial modelling or data tooling in a professional or project context
