Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a fast-growing business in Jakarta. Reporting to senior leadership, the CFO will own the company’s financial strategy, drive strong financial governance, and partner with the CEO and business leaders to support sustainable growth. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, treasury/cash flow, and ensuring robust controls across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
  • Own the annual planning cycle, budgeting, and multi-year forecasting.
• Financial Reporting & Performance Management
  • Lead monthly/quarterly financial close, management reporting, and performance dashboards.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash generation.
• Governance, Controls & Compliance
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Indonesian regulations and corporate requirements.
  • Strengthen audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors.
• Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and funding needs.
  • Oversee working capital optimization (AR/AP, collections, payment strategies).
• Risk Management & Financial Stewardship
  • Identify financial risks (including credit, liquidity, and operational risks) and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure disciplined cost management and appropriate capital allocation.
• Capital Structure & Funding
  • Support fundraising, investor relations, and partnership discussions (as applicable).
  • Evaluate financing options and manage relationships with banks/financial institutions.
• Strategic Partnerships & Business Support
  • Partner with commercial and operations leaders on pricing, profitability, and key business cases.
  • Drive decision-making using financial models and scenario analysis.
• Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team; improve processes and systems to scale operations.
  • Ensure high-quality finance talent and clear ownership across finance functions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Typically 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including CFO/Finance Director or equivalent senior roles.
• Background: Strong experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Industry Fit: Experience in fast-growth, multi-stakeholder environments is preferred (specific industry to be confirmed during recruitment).
• Technical Skills: Strong accounting and financial modeling skills; familiarity with Indonesian statutory reporting requirements is highly desirable.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead finance teams and influence senior stakeholders across the business.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills in English; Indonesian proficiency is preferred.
• Integrity & Governance: Strong ethics, compliance mindset, and proven ability to operate with transparency and discipline.
