Job Title: Head of Academy – APAC
Location: Bangkok
Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Academy – APAC to lead learning and capability development across the Asia-Pacific region. This role owns the APAC Academy strategy, curriculum direction, and training governance to build strong technical and operational capabilities for field teams and internal stakeholders (and customers as applicable).
The ideal candidate will have proven senior leadership experience in training/learning, a strong ability to build scalable programmes across multiple countries, and excellent stakeholder management in complex regional environments.
Key Responsibilities

APAC Academy Strategy & Governance
Develop and drive the APAC Academy strategy aligned to business priorities and regional needs.
Establish consistent training standards, governance, and operating routines across markets. -
Curriculum & Learning Program Ownership
Lead design and deployment of learning curricula, learning journeys, and certification pathways.
Translate business/performance needs into structured competency frameworks and training plans. -
Training Delivery Excellence
Ensure high-quality training delivery through internal trainers, facilitators, and partners as applicable.
Set up mechanisms for feedback, assessment, and continuous improvement. -
Regional Stakeholder Alignment
Partner with regional leadership, service/operations, sales, and functional teams to align training priorities and rollouts.
Influence and coordinate across APAC in a matrixed organization. -
Capability Measurement & Reporting
Define and track learning KPIs (e.g., completion, competency assessments, and business impact metrics).
Provide regular reporting and insights to senior stakeholders. -
Scaling & Modernization
Drive scalability through standardization and (where applicable) learning technologies and new delivery formats to improve time-to-competency. -
Resource & Budget Management (as applicable)
Manage academy resources and budgets to ensure effective programme delivery and sustainable capacity.
Qualifications

Experience:
Typically 10+ years in Learning & Development, training management, instructional design, or technical education, including senior leadership ownership. -
Academy / Regional Training Leadership:
Demonstrated experience building and running training academies or large-scale learning programmes across multiple countries/regions. -
Technical/Operational Curriculum Development:
Strong capability to design learning programmes tied to competencies and business outcomes. -
Stakeholder Management:
Proven ability to engage senior leaders and collaborate with cross-country teams effectively. -
Analytics & Effectiveness:
Strong data-driven approach to measure training effectiveness and improve impact. -
Communication:
Proficient in English; regional language capability is a strong advantage.
