Job Title: Head of Accounting & Finance – APAC

Location: Bangkok

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting & Finance – APAC to lead the finance function across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is responsible for driving consistent accounting practices, strong financial governance, reliable reporting, and effective business partnering to support regional growth.

The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience managing multi-country finance teams, a strong technical accounting/control background, and proven ability to implement scalable processes and reporting frameworks across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• APAC Accounting Leadership:
  Own and lead regional accounting policies and ensure consistent application across countries within APAC.

• Financial Governance & Controls:
  Strengthen internal controls, compliance frameworks, and finance governance routines to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.

• Financial Reporting & Close:
  Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and management-ready reporting for regional leadership and stakeholders.

• Statutory Compliance & Audit Management:
  Coordinate statutory reporting requirements across markets as applicable and lead engagement with external auditors/tax advisors.

• Performance Management & Insights:
  Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and business performance support to regional leadership and functional teams.

• Process Standardisation & Transformation:
  Drive continuous improvement in finance operations—standardisation, automation, and scalable processes—to increase efficiency and quality.

• Team Leadership & Capability Building:
  Lead, develop, and coach finance professionals; build organizational capability and succession planning across APAC.

• Stakeholder Management:
  Partner with regional business leaders, shared services, and HQ functions to align finance priorities and deliver agreed outcomes.

• Systems & Data Quality (as applicable):
  Support finance systems/processes and ensure robust data governance and reporting integrity across the APAC region.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  Typically 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership of accounting and finance functions in a multi-country (APAC) environment.

• Technical Expertise:
  Strong understanding of accounting standards and statutory/regulatory requirements applicable across APAC markets (experience working across diverse jurisdictions is a strong advantage).

• Controls & Audit:
  Proven experience designing and improving internal controls and managing audit processes with strong audit outcomes.

• Reporting & Close Ownership:
  Demonstrated ability to ensure timely month-end/quarter-end/year-end closings and high-quality financial reporting.

• Leadership:
  Track record building high-performing teams, developing talent, and influencing stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

• Communication:
  Strong communication skills in English; ability to work with local market finance teams and stakeholders is essential.

• Professional Qualification:
  CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (preferred).
