Role Summary We are looking for a proactive Process Development Engineer to act as the technical bridge between our design teams and Taiwan foundry partners. You will drive project execution, ensure strict adherence to deadlines, and maintain high quality standards for GaAs/InP photonics processes.
Key Responsibilities

Foundry Interface: Serve as the lead technical contact for Taiwan-based PIC fabrication; drive engineering reviews and ensure all action items reach concrete resolution.

Process Development: Partner with designers and suppliers to build new process platforms; define reliability, qualification, and platform release structures.

RCA & Risk Management: Audit failure analysis (FA) and root cause analysis (RCA) at the supplier level; identify and mitigate supply chain risks to keep schedules on track.

Yield Optimization: Monitor production lot PCM/inline trends; implement corrective actions to improve Cpk and resolve fab bottlenecks.

Project Leadership: Manage the full development lifecycle from process freeze through product qualification and mass production.
Required Qualifications

Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.

Experience: 10+ years in a Taiwan semiconductor fab; hands-on expertise in GaAs/InP process development for PIC or LD devices.

Technical Skills: Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics, optoelectronics, and layout review. Proficiency in FMEA, SPC, and Cpk is highly preferred.

Mindset: A "solution-first" approach with a track record of managing foundry partners under tight deadlines.

Communication: Fluent in Mandarin and Professional English; ability to provide transparent, real-time updates and proactive escalations.

Background: Experience as a Process Integration Engineer, Customer Service Engineer (CSE), or Technical Account Manager in a fast-paced, international environment.
