Sr. Procurement Specialist

Reporting Line: Europe-based leadership

Role Objective

• Support the company’s global sourcing and growth strategy by ensuring stable supply and competitive sourcing of components and products from Asia.

• Develop and manage a reliable supplier network across Asia with strong operational capabilities and consistent performance.

• Monitor market dynamics in the Asian region and identify potential opportunities and risks that may impact supply continuity or cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Network Development

• Build and maintain a strong supplier base across Asia aligned with the company’s sourcing strategy.

• Evaluate suppliers’ technical capabilities, cost structures, and manufacturing strengths.

• Conduct regular supplier visits and assessments to strengthen partnerships and drive supplier development.

Supplier Performance & Commercial Management

• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.

• Develop sourcing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and sustainable supply conditions.

• Lead negotiations on commercial agreements and contracts to support long-term partnerships.

Supply Assurance & Risk Management

• Ensure stable supply of critical components and products sourced from Asia.

• Identify potential risks related to capacity, logistics, geopolitical factors, or quality issues, and develop mitigation plans.

• Proactively manage supply disruptions and coordinate escalation when necessary.

Project & Supplier Development Initiatives

• Lead supplier-related projects such as supplier transitions, dual sourcing initiatives, product transfers, or supply chain optimization.

• Closely monitor project timelines and specifications, ensuring milestones and implementation schedules are achieved.

• Coordinate closely with suppliers through structured project reviews and progress tracking.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with internal stakeholders including product management, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and product requirements.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights

• Track market developments, pricing trends, supplier landscape, and industry changes within the region.

• Identify alternative sourcing opportunities and potential supplier expansions.

• Provide data-driven analysis to support sourcing decisions, including cost comparisons and supply strategy recommendations.
