Position: (Sr. ) Field Application Engineer (Power Module)
Location: Taipei  Taiwan 

About the job
 
The main responsibility of the FAE position is to proactively support our power solutions into various market opportunities. This involves strategic coordination with their assigned Territory Sales and Customer Service Representatives, providing pre- and post-Sales support including product selection and proposal based on the customer's application needs, product installation assistance from an electrical, mechanical and thermal aspect, and troubleshooting customer systems.
 
Responsibilities

• Conducting technical seminars
• Hands-on product evaluations
• Customer schematic and layout review
• Providing product training for the manufacturer's rep organization
• Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales and design in to win cycle
• Capture technical requirements and architecture of a customer’s system and act as the liaison to Product Line Engineers
• Business and Relationship development at major tier-1 ODM, CM high performance computing server manufacturers
• Articulate technology, power architectures, and product positioning to both business and technical users

 
 
Minimum Requirements
 
The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of 5 - 7 years related experience in either analog/power supply design or analog based applications engineering, excellent understanding of analog design, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
 

• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and support system-level boat testing and validation
• Strong team-player and practical hands-on problem solver, enthusiasm for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner
• Working comfortably with international project teams spread over multiple sites in the globe
• Excellent hands-on knowledge on EMI, thermals, mechanical, and package design challenges
• Familiar with DC-DC voltage regulator and/or module solution architectures, magnetic design, PCB layout for integration and efficiency optimizations; experience in Vcore power for server a strong plus
• Good working knowledge of high-volume SMD/SMT manufacturing technologies and production variance
