Job Title: Indirect Procurement Manager

Location: Guangzhou, China

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Indirect Procurement Manager to join a leading organization in the manufacturing sector. This role is critical for managing the procurement of indirect materials and services, optimizing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy Development:
    Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for indirect materials and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Supplier Management:
    Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

  • Cost Management:
    Monitor and analyze spending patterns, implementing cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement processes.

  • Market Analysis:
    Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and technical teams, to align procurement activities with business needs.

  • Performance Measurement:
    Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and the effectiveness of procurement strategies.

  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS) are advantageous.

  • Experience:
    5+ years of experience in indirect procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret data effectively.

  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Negotiation Skills:
    Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

  • Technical Proficiency:
    Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
