Morgan Philips is proud to partner with American Iron & Metal (AIM) in the search for its next Vice President, Strategic Accounts.
As Vice President, Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for leading, retaining, and expanding AIM’s largest and most strategic customer relationships across Ontario and selected U.S. markets.
This is a highly visible commercial leadership role focused on managing sophisticated, high-value relationships with large industrial organizations, ownership groups, institutional stakeholders, and senior executives. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted commercial partner to key accounts while helping AIM continue to strengthen its market presence and long-term strategic positioning.
The role requires exceptional relationship-building capability, executive presence, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to navigate complex organizations and stakeholder environments. The ideal profile is a polished, highly credible business leader capable of building trust at the executive and ownership levels while driving long-term growth opportunities.
This position will work closely with Operations, Transportation, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure a coordinated and professional customer experience.
The role requires regular travel throughout Ontario and selected U.S. markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with AIM’s largest and most strategic accounts and partners.
- Act as a senior commercial representative of the organization with ownership groups, senior executives, procurement leaders, operational stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Develop long-term customer relationships built on trust, responsiveness, credibility, and operational execution.
- Identify and pursue new strategic business opportunities across existing and prospective accounts.
- Lead complex commercial discussions, negotiations, and strategic account planning initiatives.
- Work closely with internal operational and commercial teams to ensure customer commitments are realistic, profitable, and executed at a high level.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Transportation, Operations, and Executive Leadership on strategic opportunities, contracts, and customer initiatives.
- Monitor market activity, customer trends, competitive dynamics, and broader business opportunities within assigned territories.
- Help strengthen internal sales processes, account management discipline, customer communication, and reporting capabilities.
- Represent AIM professionally at customer meetings, industry events, executive discussions, and strategic business functions.
- Where applicable, mentor and support members of the commercial or account management team.
Ideal Profile – Experience & Background
- Proven success in strategic account management, business development, relationship management, commercial leadership, or complex B2B environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage sophisticated relationships with senior executives, ownership groups, and key decision-makers.
- Experience operating within complex organizations where negotiation, influence, and relationship management are critical to success.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand operational realities, customer expectations, pricing dynamics, and long-term partnership development.
- Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, infrastructure, real estate, financial services, industrial services, construction, commodities, investment banking, or other relationship-driven environments is considered highly relevant.
- Comfortable operating in entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and evolving business environments.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority relationships and opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Ontario and selected U.S. markets.
