Position Overview

The Market Development Manager will play a critical role in driving growth initiatives within the Data Center, AI Server, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) markets.

This position requires a commercially driven professional who understands the intersection of technology, materials, manufacturing, and customer requirements. The successful candidate will build strategic relationships with hyperscalers, OEMs, ODMs, and ecosystem partners, identify emerging market opportunities, and translate customer needs into innovative material-based solutions.

Working closely with sales, product management, R&D, and global business teams, this individual will drive specification wins, influence future product development, and accelerate profitable business growth.

Travel Requirement: Approximately 50–75%


Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute growth strategies within the AI Server, Data Center, and HPC markets.
  • Identify emerging market trends, technology shifts, and new business opportunities.
  • Build strategic account development plans and drive market penetration initiatives.
  • Support long-term business growth through customer engagement and market intelligence.

Customer & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Establish strong relationships with hyperscale customers, OEMs, ODMs, system integrators, and key supply-chain partners.
  • Understand system-level requirements and translate customer challenges into material and engineering solutions.
  • Engage customers from concept design through production implementation.
  • Build high-level executive relationships and expand influence across customer organizations.

Opportunity Development

  • Identify and qualify new opportunities that align with strategic market priorities.
  • Drive specification activities and collaborate with sales teams to secure new business.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to accelerate customer adoption and commercialization efforts.
  • Act as the primary bridge between customer requirements, commercial objectives, and technical capabilities.

Innovation & Product Development Support

  • Collaborate with R&D and product teams to define next-generation material solutions.
  • Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to guide future product roadmaps.
  • Support development efforts addressing industry trends such as:
    • Liquid cooling
    • Increased power density
    • Thermal management
    • Advanced interconnect technologies
    • Next-generation computing infrastructure

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry developments, competitive activity, customer requirements, and technology trends.
  • Conduct market research and opportunity analysis.
  • Develop deep understanding of target applications, customer ecosystems, and market dynamics.
  • Share insights across global commercial and technical teams.

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to annual business planning and long-term growth strategies.
  • Support regional and global marketing initiatives.
  • Recommend strategic investments, resource allocation, and growth priorities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    • Engineering
    • Materials Science
    • Polymer Science
    • Chemistry
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Or related technical disciplines

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in:
    • Market Development
    • Business Development
    • Technical Sales
    • Product Marketing
    • Strategic Account Management
  • Experience within one or more of the following industries:
    • Data Center Infrastructure
    • AI Server
    • High-Performance Computing (HPC)
    • Electronics
    • Semiconductor
    • Advanced Materials
    • Thermal Management Solutions
