As part of an increase in activity, if you are looking for new professional challenges and want to join a high‑skilled, multicultural and industrial-driven environment, we are currently looking for a Production and Supply Chain Manager, based in Barcelona (Parets del Vallès), Spain.
 
Job Objective
Ensure the efficient and cost‑effective execution of production and supply chain operations, securing production continuity, quality standards, delivery performance and budget control.
The role is responsible for end‑to‑end production, supply chain coordination and team leadership, acting as a key interface between Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Logistics while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence and compliance.
 
What will you do?

As a Production and Supply Chain Manager within Thales, you will be responsible for:
Production & Operations Management

  • Follow and execute the production schedule, ensuring adherence to delivery commitments.
  • Plan and allocate resources (human, material and equipment) to meet operational targets.
  • Supervise daily production activities and ensure efficient workflow execution.
  • Ensure production capacity alignment with demand and supply constraints.
Supply Chain & Cost Management
  • Oversee supply chain activities to ensure material availability and production continuity.
  • Monitor operational costs, budgets and forecasts, identifying deviations and corrective actions.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across production and supply chain processes.
  • Support financial and cost management activities linked to operations.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and certifications (ISO 9000, IATF 16949).
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes across production.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and internal policies.
  • Support audits and continuous improvement related to quality and compliance.
Continuous Improvement & Performance
  • Identify, analyze and implement process improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing).
  • Define, track and report operational KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Lead problem‑solving activities and root‑cause analysis.
  • Contribute to Industry 4.0 initiatives and operational digitalization when applicable.
Leadership & Communication
  • Lead, supervise and develop production and supply chain teams.
  • Foster a collaborative, performance‑driven and safety‑focused team culture.
  • Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders and management.
  • Prepare reports and present operational performance and improvement plans.
 
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Technical skills & experience – mandatory
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar or progressive Production and Supply Chain Manager role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in production and operations management and supply chain management.
  • Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Proven experience in financial and cost management.
  • Knowledge of quality standards: ISO 9000 and IATF 16949.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, as well as Workday and MS Office.
  • High level of Spanish and professional English proficiency.
Preferred / valuable
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of French.
  • Experience with Power BI or advanced reporting tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Project management knowledge (Agile, Scrum, PMI).
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced industrial environment.
