Senior Study Contract Manager
📍 Barcelona (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
At Morgan Philips, we are supporting a leading multinational pharmaceutical company in the search for a Senior Study Contract Manager to join their team in Barcelona. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish.
This role is focused on driving contracting and budgeting activities within clinical trials, contributing to efficient study start-up and ensuring agreements are negotiated and managed in a compliant, ethical, and timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Adapt global agreement templates for local use in line with regulations and internal procedures.
- Develop and negotiate clinical site budgets based on Fair Market Value.
- Lead negotiations of contract language and budgets with clinical study sites.
- Act as a point of contact for legal matters related to contracts when needed.
- Track and manage contract status, budgets, amendments, payments, and communications throughout the study lifecycle.
- Ensure final agreements accurately reflect negotiated terms.
- Support timely execution of contracts to enable efficient study start-up.
- Contribute to audit readiness and support audit activities.
- Ensure all contracts are filed appropriately in the Trial Master File (TMF).
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (life sciences, law, finance, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and basic understanding of GMP/GDP.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of the drug development process and clinical study management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Negotiation skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Availability to travel as required.
- Experience working with remote or international teams.
- Background in contract administration or paralegal roles within pharma or healthcare.
- Ability to manage change and contribute to process improvements.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with risk-based and remote monitoring approaches.
- Cultural awareness and adaptability.
- Comfort working with digital tools and systems in an e-enabled environment.
