Job Title: IT Solutions Lead (HCM)
Location: Hong Kong
Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Solutions Lead (HCM) to join a large, multi-functional organisation in Hong Kong. The role is responsible for owning and leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Human Capital Management (HCM) technology solutions. You will partner with HR stakeholders and IT teams to define requirements, manage solution roadmaps, oversee system integrations, and ensure stable, secure operations of HCM applications.
Key Responsibilities
- HCM Solution Ownership:
Own end-to-end solution delivery and support for HCM systems (e.g., HRMS / talent, recruitment, learning, performance, workforce planning components depending on the scope). - Requirement & Roadmap Management:
Gather and translate HR business needs into solution requirements; define roadmaps and prioritize enhancements based on value, effort, and risk. - Solution Design & Delivery:
Lead solution design (functional and technical), system configuration guidance, and delivery planning for enhancements and change requests. - Vendor & Partner Management:
Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners; manage deliverables, timelines, and quality of work for HCM projects. - Integration & Data Management:
Ensure correct integration with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., identity management, payroll-related systems, reporting/analytics platforms) and maintain data integrity. - Security, Risk & Compliance:
Ensure solutions comply with internal policies, data protection requirements, and relevant IT governance standards. - Service Management & Support:
Oversee incident/problem/change processes related to HCM applications; drive root-cause resolution and preventive actions. - Testing & Release Management:
Support UAT planning, test coordination, release readiness, and deployment governance; ensure changes are validated before go-live. - Analytics & Reporting:
Improve availability and usability of HR reporting; support development of dashboards and KPIs with HR stakeholders. - Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with HR leadership, HR operations, and IT teams; communicate clearly on status, risks, and outcomes. - Documentation & Best Practices:
Maintain solution documentation, configuration standards, support runbooks, and system knowledge.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT application delivery and support, with specialisation in HCM/HR systems. Project leadership experience is required.
- HCM Knowledge: Hands-on experience with HR technology solution components (HRMS, talent/recruitment modules, learning/performance modules, etc.) relevant to the organisation’s landscape.
- Technical Skills (as applicable):
- Understanding of system architecture and integration patterns (APIs, middleware, batch integrations)
- Familiarity with database concepts, data mapping, and ETL basics
- Experience with identity management and access controls is a plus
- Project & Delivery: Proven ability to lead delivery (Agile/Waterfall), manage scope and stakeholders, and drive releases successfully.
- Service Management: Knowledge of ITIL-based processes (incident/change/problem) and operational support practices.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in HR technologies, ITSM, cloud platforms, or project methodologies are an advantage.
