Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and technically strong Senior Perfumer to lead fragrance development and contribute to the creation of high-quality scent compositions for a wide range of applications in Thailand. This role combines artistic direction with formulation expertise, ensuring fragrances meet performance, cost, and regulatory/quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in perfumery, strong ability to develop new concepts from briefs, and proven skills collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product development, application, quality). You will also support training and knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Fragrance Creation & Development

  • Develop new fragrance concepts and compositions based on creative briefs, customer requirements, and market needs.
  • Create prototypes and refine formulas through iterations to achieve desired olfactive profiles and performance targets.

• Technical Formulation & Optimization

  • Apply expert formulation skills to balance top/middle/base notes, diffusion, longevity, and stability (as applicable).
  • Optimize fragrances for specific end-use applications (e.g., home care, personal care, fine fragrance, or other categories depending on business focus).

• Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with internal commercial and technical teams to support customer discussions, trials, and concept presentations.
  • Translate customer feedback into clear development actions and updated formulations.

• Quality, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all work follows relevant quality procedures, documentation standards, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain traceability of formulations, samples, and development outcomes.

• Project Leadership (as applicable)

  • Lead key development projects, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery of prototypes and final recommendations.
  • Provide guidance to junior perfumers on techniques, documentation, and development approach.

• Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on fragrance trends, raw material opportunities, and evolving customer preferences.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and knowledge within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience

  • Typically 8–15+ years of perfumery experience, with proven capability as a senior-level fragrance developer.

• Perfume Development Expertise

  • Strong background in fragrance composition creation, refinement, and application-focused optimization.

• Technical Capability

  • Demonstrated ability to work with fragrance raw materials, formulation tools, and lab processes (as applicable).

• Creativity & Sensory Skills

  • Excellent olfactive judgement and creativity, with the ability to execute against briefs and objectives.

• Collaboration & Communication

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to present concepts and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Language

  • Proficient in English; Thai language ability is a plus (depending on stakeholder needs).
