MLRO / RC (F/M) - Bank - Freelance mission

On behalf of a well-established banking institution in Luxembourg, we are looking for an experienced MLRO / Responsable du Contrôle (RC) (F/M) to support the Compliance function on an interim freelance basis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the Bank’s AML/CFT framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as a trusted partner to senior management and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Act as MLRO and/or RC in accordance with Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the Bank’s AML/CFT framework and ensure compliance with CSSF regulations and applicable legal requirements.
• Review and validate high-risk client files, onboarding cases, and periodic KYC reviews.
• Monitor suspicious activity investigations and prepare SAR/STR filings where required.
• Provide compliance advice and guidance to business and operational teams.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators.
• Support compliance monitoring activities and contribute to risk assessments.
• Participate in the enhancement of internal policies, procedures, and controls.
• Deliver compliance training and promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Profile :

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, or Financial Crime within the banking sector.
• Previous experience as MLRO and/or RC in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge of CSSF regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and Luxembourg banking environment.
• Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Languages :

• Fluent English & French
• Any additional European language will be advantageous.
