We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager (F/M) to lead strategic transformation initiatives within a bank.
You will manage end-to-end technology and business transformation projects, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners. The role combines project delivery, stakeholder management, business analysis, and technology implementation in a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery

Lead complex IT and business transformation projects from initiation to successful delivery.

Define project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and governance frameworks.

Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and external vendors.

Monitor project progress, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery against agreed objectives.

Prepare and present project updates to senior management and steering committees.
Digital Transformation

Drive key strategic initiatives such as:

Core Banking System transformation and migration
-
Infrastructure and cloud modernization
-
Data governance and reporting projects
-
Process automation and digitalization initiatives
-
Cybersecurity-related programmes
-

Support testing, deployment, and change management activities.
Stakeholder Management

Act as the bridge between business and technology teams.

Gather and challenge business requirements.

Facilitate workshops and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners.
Governance & Reporting

Establish project governance and PMO standards.

Produce executive dashboards, KPIs, status reports, and steering committee materials.

Identify risks and issues and implement mitigation plans.
Profile
Experience
-
8+ years of experience in IT Project Management within Banking or Financial Services.

Proven track record delivering complex transformation programmes involving both business and technology teams.

Experience with Core Banking Systems, system migrations, digital transformation, or large-scale modernization projects.

Strong exposure to regulated environments.
Skills
-
Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.

Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Microsoft 365.

Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure), automation tools, and data-driven reporting is an advantage.

PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification is a plus.
Languages

Fluent English and French are mandatory.

Additional languages are considered an asset.
