Senior Sales Manager – Mexico City📍

Are you ready to monetize your retail network and scale a global sourcing platform in Mexico?
A global sourcing and import group, with operations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, supporting leading retail chains through private label and branded import programs in multiple product categories are looking for a Senior Sales Manager to strengthen our commercial presence in Mexico, drive sales growth exclusively with retail chains, and build long-term relationships with senior retail buyers. This role is critical to expanding the company’s footprint in Mexico by opening new retail accounts and scaling import programs.

Who you are

  • Commercial sales professional with a strong hunter mindset and proven success selling to retail clients.
  • 5–8 years of experience (maximum) in retail, imports, sourcing, trading, or buying-related roles.
  • Active and proven network with retail buyers in Mexico (mandatory).
  • Solid understanding of private label, FOB imports, and international sourcing, particularly Asia.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish & English – advanced level is a must).
  • Dynamic, proactive, social, and highly driven.
  • Comfortable working in small, autonomous teams with high accountability.
  • Motivated by results, commissions, and building long-term commercial value.

What you will do

  • Lead all commercial and business development activities with retail chains in Mexico.
  • Open new retail accounts and grow existing strategic relationships.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close import and private label programs.
  • Position the company as a strategic sourcing partner for senior retail buyers.
  • Compete directly with traders, agents, and existing suppliers.
  • Coordinate closely with sourcing and manufacturing teams in Asia.
  • Individual role
  • Track pipeline, margin, and sales performance.
  • Report sales forecasts and results directly to the General Director.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of proven commercial experience selling to retail clients (hard requirement).
  • Existing and active relationships with retail buyers in Mexico.
  • Experience with department stores and/or grocery retail chains.
  • Strong knowledge of private label and import business models.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish & English – advanced level is mandatory).
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets in consultative, mid- to long-cycle sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working in lean, autonomous teams.
  • CRM discipline and strong commercial structure.
  • Availability to travel within Mexico.
