Job Title: Regional Training Manager (Malaysia)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional Training Manager to lead and manage training and capability development across Malaysia and the surrounding region as assigned. This role ensures that commercial teams and key stakeholders are equipped with the right product, sales, and customer engagement skills to deliver consistent performance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in training strategy and execution within a regulated or healthcare-focused environment, with the ability to design training programs, manage facilitators, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Training Strategy & Planning:
  Develop and execute the regional training plan aligned to business priorities, product launches, and performance needs.

• Program Design & Delivery:
  Build training curricula and learning journeys (e.g., onboarding, sales/product training, field coaching, workshops, and leadership sessions) and ensure effective delivery.

• Coaching & Performance Enablement:
  Support the field force through coaching, capability-building initiatives, and practical enablement that translates learning into improved performance.

• Compliance & Effective Training Governance:
  Ensure all training content and activities follow applicable industry requirements, internal policies, and ethical/promotional standards.

• Stakeholder Management:
  Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical/Commercial Excellence, and HR leaders to identify capability gaps, align priorities, and drive adoption.

• Facilitator & Partner Management (as applicable):
  Recruit, develop, and manage internal trainers/facilitators and external training resources where required.

• Effectiveness Measurement:
  Track training KPIs (completion, engagement, assessment results, and business impact) and continuously improve programmes based on feedback and performance data.

• Documentation & Reporting:
  Maintain training records, materials, and reports; ensure training delivery and effectiveness are auditable and well documented.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  Typically 5–10 years of training, learning & development, or commercial enablement experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or regulated industries.

• Training Expertise:
  Proven ability to design and deliver training programs for sales/commercial teams, including onboarding and ongoing capability development.

• Commercial Acumen:
  Strong understanding of sales execution, coaching practices, and how capability drives business outcomes.

• Compliance Mindset:
  Familiarity with healthcare/pharmaceutical compliance expectations and ethical training delivery.

• Data & Measurement:
  Ability to use training metrics and performance data to evaluate impact and drive continuous improvement.

• Communication & Leadership:
  Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence and work effectively with senior stakeholders and field teams.

• Language:
  Proficiency in English; local language proficiency (e.g., Bahasa Malaysia) is an advantage.

• Travel:
  Willingness to travel within Malaysia (and possibly regionally) to support training delivery and field enablement.
