Senior Electrical Engineering Manager 

About the Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineering Manager to lead an electrical engineering team responsible for developing high-performance consumer electronic devices. 

This position oversees electrical architecture, hardware design, technical execution, and engineering team development throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in PCBA design, wireless connectivity, embedded electronics, and cross-functional hardware development, combined with proven people management experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

Engineering Leadership 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced electrical engineers, including performance management, talent development, and recruitment. 

• Foster technical excellence, effective collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. 

Electrical Architecture & Hardware Development 

• Define and oversee electrical architecture and PCBA design for advanced consumer electronic products. 

• Drive hardware development from concept and feasibility assessment through design validation and mass production. 

• Ensure designs meet product performance, cost, schedule, quality, and sustainability requirements. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Collaborate with global engineering teams, product management, program management, and manufacturing partners. 

• Identify technical risks, resolve complex engineering challenges, and support system-level integration. 

• Communicate project risks, technical decisions, and development progress to key stakeholders. 

Engineering Operations & Process Improvement 

• Plan and allocate engineering resources across multiple development projects. 

• Establish and improve design review processes, engineering standards, and development workflows. 

• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve hardware development efficiency, testing, and design quality. 

Qualifications 

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. 

• 10+ years of professional experience in electrical or hardware engineering, preferably within consumer electronics, IoT, or embedded systems. 

• Proven experience leading and developing electrical engineering teams. 

• Strong expertise in PCBA design, electrical architecture, and analog/digital circuit design. 

• Solid knowledge of RF and wireless technologies, including Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, Wi-Fi, and antenna design. 

• Experience with EMC/EMI/ESD design and worldwide regulatory certification requirements. 

• Familiarity with battery management ICs, DC-DC converters, LDOs, and LED/display driving circuits. 

• Strong understanding of hardware communication interfaces, including USB, SPI, and I2C. 

• Experience integrating sensors and other analog/digital components into embedded electronic systems. 

• Practical experience applying AI tools to hardware design, engineering automation, or test optimization. 

• Experience collaborating with manufacturing sites and supporting product scale-up. 

• Strong problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with ARM-based embedded platforms. 

• Background in gaming peripherals or other high-performance consumer electronic devices. 

• Experience working with international engineering teams and managing multiple concurrent development programs.
