AI Data Center Cooling & HVAC Architecture Leader (Northern Taiwan)
We are seeking a high-caliber HVAC and liquid cooling architect to design and deliver next-generation, high-efficiency AI data center cooling solutions. This role focuses on enabling high-density AI computing with best-in-class PUE performance through innovative thermal and system architectures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liquid Cooling System Architecture
-
Design, analyze, and optimize liquid cooling architectures for AI data centers, including feasibility studies and performance validation.

Evaluate advanced cooling technologies to support high-density AI workloads.
2. Air Cooling & Hot/Cold Aisle Design

Design efficient hot aisle / cold aisle containment strategies for AI equipment requiring air cooling.

Define airflow management concepts and select appropriate CRAC / CRAH and related HVAC equipment.
3. Equipment Selection & System Integration

Lead selection and specification of liquid cooling equipment, including CDUs, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling distribution systems.

Integrate liquid cooling solutions with existing HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure system-level performance and reliability.
4. Technical Review & Standardization

Review supplier engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
5. Energy Efficiency & PUE Modeling

Perform annual PUE modeling and energy efficiency analysis for data centers.

Identify optimization opportunities to improve overall energy performance.
6. Customer Collaboration & Project Delivery

Act as a technical interface between internal teams, vendors, and customers.

Support successful design, deployment, and commissioning of AI data center cooling systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
System & HVAC Expertise
-
Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including CRAC/CRAH, CDU, fans, ducting, cooling towers, and chilled water systems.

Familiarity with liquid cooling architectures, including direct-to-chip and dual-loop cooling designs.
Thermal & Hydraulic Engineering

Solid understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermal modeling.

Proven ability to perform cooling load calculations, hydraulic pressure drop analysis, and piping design.
Design Documentation

Proficient in HVAC layout drawings, hydraulic schematics, airflow diagrams, and system documentation.
Hands-on Experience

Practical experience in data center or server room cooling system design and implementation.
Certifications (Preferred)
-
Licensed HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer or equivalent professional certification is a strong plus.
