Audio Hardware Applications Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Applications Engineer to join a high-performance engineering team supporting advanced audio amplifier products. In this role, you will play a critical part in securing design wins across laptops, mobile devices, and other consumer electronics by providing hands-on technical support and customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Drive and maintain customer relationships by providing direct engineering support to customers and field application engineers
• Support customer PCB schematic and layout design reviews
• Perform application-focused data collection and circuit analysis
• Lead the design and development of customer evaluation and development boards for new product introduction
• Create customer-facing technical materials, including application notes and technical reports
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including IC design, systems, validation, test, and software engineering teams
• Partner with marketing and field teams to promote new products during customer visits and industry events
• Lead technical training sessions for customers and internal field teams
• Independently manage and prioritize tasks with a strong sense of ownership and urgency

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred) with 5+ years of experience in the acoustic or audio industry
• Experience with audio amplifiers and power electronics
• Proven experience in debugging system-level customer issues
• Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout design
• Strong lab experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, Audio Precision analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, I2S, or high-speed control/data buses
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of audio signal processing algorithms and techniques
• Experience with audio analysis tools, MATLAB, and/or Excel-based analysis
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams and customers
• Familiarity with PC and mobile system requirements
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting
• Extensive experience debugging both hardware and software issues
• Strong interest in audio technology
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
